Former President Obasanjo Not Just A Liar; But Cheat, Corrupt And Father Of All Evil - Orji Uzor Kalu
When the news got to the former Governor of Abia State, Dr. Orji Uzor
Kalu that the Nobel laureate, Professor Wole Soyinka has called
ex-President Olusegun Obasanjo an ineffable liar, Kalu rhetorically
asked,
“Who does not know that Obasanjo is an indefinable liar?”Sadly that it has become obvious and shimmering that Obasanjo has lied so much that he can no longer distinguish between lies and truth within himself.
This is dangerous as everybody now knows Obasanjo as a liar.
Just on August 28 2015, while fielding answers to journalists during a
programme with the tag, “An evening with Wole Soyinka” organised by
Globacom, Soyinka described Obasanjo as an inexpressible liar.
In a statement issued by the media office of Kalu in Abuja and signed by
Mrs. Rubby Obinna, Kalu said, “With the statement credited to Professor
Wole Soyinka that Obasanjo is an unspeakable liar, I had known that
Obasanjo has degrees in the three forms of lies which are ‘lies, damn
lies and statistics lies’.”
The former governor said that the statement by Soyinka has furthered his
view of Obasanjo always that he is not only a liar, but also a
comedian, cheat, corrupt person who represents everything bad.
“Soyinka did not just wake up from sleep and begin to characterise
Obasanjo by a liar. Remember that on December 23 2014, the
intelligentsia responded to the Obasanjo’s memoir – My Watch – and
described Obasanjo as “the overgrown child of circumstance with capacity
for infantile mischief, and for needless, mind-boggling provocations,
such as his recent ‘literary’ intrusion…,” Kalu said.
Kalu added that he’s always shocked when he sees some persons wining,
dining and/or celebrating Obasanjo: The man who destroyed the Nigerian
system and brought corruption in the political system.
“Let it not be as if I’m the only person telling the world what Obasanjo
represents. If we could recall, Prof. Soyinka once, clearly, described
Obasanjo’s presidential library at Abeokuta, as a ‘Presidential
Laundromat’ and the facts of the land acquisition as ‘morally dubious’
and that all the processes of that project were ‘executive
extortionism’,” Kalu added.
Kalu concluded that he will continue not to take Obasanjo important till he repents.
